This is it Eagles. The year is coming to a close. The 2013-2014 school year was filled with the Union construction project, many icepocalypse occurrences, a new UNT President and some of the best UPC events this campus has seen. It’s been a fun and exciting year, and the fun and excitement will continue into the next year as the University continues its tradition of excellence with the Union construction project.

As you may know, we celebrated Union on Wednesday during Union fest 2014! We hope you all enjoyed the free tees, the NT DJs and of course the giant cake!
Even though the Union is under construction, the STUB offers students many resources and is here as a gome for the students until the new union is completed in the fall of 2015. Until then, campus will continue to celebrate the long standing tradition of the student Union and all that it does for students and campus.
The next week is Spring Break! So whether you are staying here and checking out bands in Denton or heading off to a beach, stay safe and we will see you back in class on March 17th!
It’s time to treat yo’self! Treat yo’self to Union Fest 2014 that is! It’s that time of year to celebrate the University Union and all it does for the campus. Though, the Union is under construction, Union Fest is still coming!
The celebration will take place March 5 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Library Mall, with a giant cake served afterward in the STUB.
With Union Fest being outside this year, there is plenty of room for lots of vendors such as:
- Deep River Snacks
- Boars Head Deli
- Advance Sales
- Honest Tea
- Key Impact Sales
- Ben E Keith
- Mrs. Baird’s
- Frito Lay
- Snack Club
Not mention a rock wall, the NT DJs, a truck full of video games and much more! So, treat yo’self to Union Fest 2014! Don’t miss free stuff and cake!
Welcome to February UNT! This semester is finally in full swing and the campus is alive and crazy. If you walk around campus or follow us on social media, you may have seen photos and posters of what you can do in the STUB!
Even though the Union is under construction, Stovall Temporary Union Building (STUB) still has endless resources for students just like the Union would. There are still areas for students to relax, study and play games. Students can still do their banking at Wells Fargo and the ATMs and mail packages at Eagle Express. Design Works offers faxing, design and print services. You can still visit the Dean of Students office or the Multicultural Center or SGA.
In the STUB you can still have a home.
Now you know! The STUB is here to fulfill any of the needs you might have while the Union is under construction. But we want to know what your favorite thing about the STUB is! So Tweet at us and you might just be able to win a free t-shirt!
Welcome back to school UNT! 2014 is going to be an exciting and eventful year for the university.
UNT started off the year strong with a win at the Heart of Dallas Bowl against the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In fact, the university’s president, Dr. Neal Smatresk, is going to be UNT’s new president to continue on the tradition of excellence following President Rawlins’ retirement.
Along with these strides, the Union continues to grow as well. The old building is currently in the demolition stage. Throughout 2014 students will be able to see noticeable changes in the building process, and maybe even take tours of the construction zone!
There will also be opportunities for students to give their input and feedback on vital decisions for the new Union.
This week students will be able to let their bum do the talking by testing out sample furniture of what could be in the new Union! The Union needs students to test out the furniture and give their opinion through a survey. Come test your tush January 16-30 in the STUB Lounge!
For more information about what’s going on this first week back, check out UPC’s events page! Good luck this semester, and keep on eye on the Union for events and Union Project updates.
