Apple Teacher Certification

Do you love the Apple brand? Are you a macbook pro… pro? Well, even if you’re not, The Mainframe UNT has got a proposition for you. Every Tuesday, where there used to be Tech Tuesdays, there will now be an opportunity to earn Apple Teacher Badges. Which is arguably even more tech-y, and offers a real benefit to you. Here’s why:

appleteach.png

Every Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 in Union 394, you can earn credits towards official micro-certifications, which with some additional online work on your part, you can earn an Apple Teacher Certification.

Apple Teacher is a free professional learning program designed to support and celebrate educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. As an Educator, you can build skills on iPad and Mac that directly apply to activities with your students, earn recognition for the new things you learn, and be rewarded for the great work you do every day.

The classes are free to take, and if you finish all the courses and earn every badge, you get a very official certification card in the mail.

Becoming a certified Apple Teacher has a lot of benefits. First off, it can be listed on your résumé as a valuable skill. It shows you’re tech-savvy and capable of teaching others the skills you have learned. Even if you don’t complete all the courses required to be an Apple Teacher, you can still take advantage of the skills taught in these workshops. The badges and courses have a large variety of skills that can be useful for everyone, no matter what your major. Check them out every Tuesday from 12:30-1:30pm in Union 394.
